Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted recently said, "We've become a digital company." For example, 90% of the marketing budget is now given over to digital. According to Rorsted, Adidas is now gaining critical insight from Big Data and digital analytics.
Adidas is just one example of how many organisations in Germany and neighbouring countries are prioritising digital transformation (DX): the use of technologies such as cloud, Big Data and AI to create new business models and new digital services and transform operating models.
IDC research confirms that all large German enterprises and many smaller businesses, particularly those in the Mittelstand, have made DX a major business priority in their desire to create and sustain business advantage.
